The Sutra
"This so-called universe appears as a juggling, a picture show. To be happy, look upon it so."
Paul Reps translation, Zen Flesh, Zen Bones (1957)
Understanding
See the entire universe as a magic show, a cosmic juggling act, a movie on a screen. Nothing is as solid or serious as it appears. This is not cynicism but the deepest freedom. When you see life as a divine play (Leela), you can participate fully while remaining untouched. Happiness comes not from controlling the show but from recognizing it as a show.

How to Practice
Look at the world around you right now. See it as a movie being projected.
The people, buildings, trees, sky - all of it is a grand magic show, a cosmic juggling.
Nothing is as solid as it appears. Atoms are mostly empty space. Forms are temporary.
See the play, the drama, the comedy. It is all a picture show.
When you truly see it this way, heaviness drops away. You become light, free, happy.
You can still participate fully - but as a player who knows it is a play, not a victim of circumstances.
