हिमालयकृतं शिवस्तोत्रम्

त्वं ब्रह्मा सृष्टिकर्ता च त्वं विष्णुः परिपालकः । त्वं शिवः शिवदोऽनन्तः सर्वसंहारकारकः ॥
Transliteration
tvaṃ brahmā sṛṣṭikartā ca tvaṃ viṣṇuḥ paripālakaḥ | tvaṃ śivaḥ śivado 'nantaḥ sarvasaṃhārakārakaḥ ||
Translation
You are Brahma, the creator of creation, and you are Vishnu, the sustainer; you are Shiva, the giver of auspiciousness, infinite, the cause of the destruction of all.
Deep Meaning
Said by the Himalaya: O Supreme Shiva, you alone are the creator Brahma. You alone are Vishnu, the protector of the world. You alone are Ananta, the destroyer of all, and you alone are Shiva, the giver of welfare.

Translation
You are the Lord beyond the gunas, eternal, of the nature of light; you are Prakriti and the Lord of Prakriti, yourself material reality yet beyond Prakriti.

You assume various forms for the sake of your devotees' meditation; whatever form they love, that very form you wear.

Conqueror of death, death unto death, time unto time, the ender of Yama; you are the Veda, the author of the Veda, and the scholar accomplished in the Veda and its limbs.

Having spoken thus, the lord of mountains stood holding the Lord's lotus feet; having descended from his bull and reassured him, Shiva dwelt there.
