Mantranāyaka means "leader/lord of mantras" (mantra = sacred sound formula. nāyaka = leader, lord). This form represents the principle of shabda brahman, the teaching that ultimate reality is vibration, sound, the primordial Om from which all manifestation emerges. He is the consciousness behind all mantras, the awareness that activates sacred sound.
