Abhrarūpa Bhairava, the Cloud-Formed One, represents the teaching that all forms are as temporary and insubstantial as clouds.
Detailed Understanding
Abhrarūpa means "having the form of clouds" (abhra = cloud. rūpa = form). This poetic name points to the impermanent, ever-changing nature of all phenomena. Just as clouds continuously form and dissolve in the sky without affecting the sky itself, all experiences arise and pass in the space of awareness without touching awareness. Abhrarūpa Bhairava is the teaching that you are not the clouds (thoughts, emotions, experiences) but the sky (pure awareness) in which they appear and disappear.
