Sadhana's Venomous Effects in Your Mind: The Cinema of Baba
Science teaches us how fatal they can be if untreated. But here lies a secret seldom spoken: why does Mahakal, the great Nath, wear snakes around his neck? Why are these Nagas not ordinary serpents but beings of deva-yoni? Their venom is not of the body - it is of the mind, and when it enters you, it burns like acid through your inner being.
The Wound that Brings You to Baba
Most seekers who arrive at the gates of sadhana are already carrying unbearable pain. Childhood scars, deep betrayals, loneliness, losses so sharp that no human comfort nor material balm could ever heal them. That pain becomes the fuel that finally pushes the jiva toward Baba. For others, it is the karmic fire burning silently, drawing them to the path at the destined hour.
The Untouched Core
But here is the deeper mystery: when you pause and look honestly at yourself, despite everything you have endured - abandonment, harassment, loss of loved ones, betrayal - you notice one thing untouched within you. Your bhava.
Your empathy. Your heart that still feels, still loves. Outwardly you may act hardened, broken, or bitter, but inside, you know you are still the same soul who once cried alone with no shoulder to lean on. That core has not died. And that untouched part is the signal of the Mahanayak.
The Hidden Key
He whispers: "Offer that same love, that same empathy, that same bhava to Me. Offer it to Me and to Karunamayi Maa."
This is the hidden key: liberation does not come by asking, but by offering. Not revenge, not destruction, not complaints - but the raw truth of your heart. Offer your pain, your loss, your loneliness, your scars.
Give it as love, because love's nature is giving. When you do, you begin to feel a quiet alchemy inside.
The Naga Venom Within
But why call this venom? Why the snakes?
Because when you walk the path, the Nagas of Baba enter your mind. They inject their venom - not to kill, but to awaken. Suddenly, old memories resurface. Past traumas, forgotten griefs, even echoes of past lives rise like phantoms. It feels unbearable. You may tremble, thinking of quitting the path itself.
But this is the divine test. Be empty before Him. Let Him see your wounds. He does not send the venom to destroy you, but to force you to place your burdens upon Him.
The Purification
He is both testing your trust and inviting you to surrender. And when you reach the point where even your last shred of faith seems about to shatter, it is precisely there that Mahakal lifts you up - like a father catching his child, like a mother soothing her infant.
This venom is purification. It drags you through karmic storms swiftly, so you may rise higher, faster. It teaches you to run to Him - not to the world - for every scar, every cry, every need. That is the genius of the Nath path: pain is not your enemy. Pain is the door.
The Miracle of Offering
Once you surrender with true bhava - whether through tears, silence, or even rage - but honestly, openly, Baba becomes the eternal giver. He is called "Aughad Dani" because He gives endlessly, without reason, without pause.
Offer Him your grief, and He will return you strength. Offer Him your emptiness, and He will return you wholeness. Offer Him your scars, and He will return you peace.
Be it finances, relationships, family, or simply the healing of your inner trust - He fills what you lack when you come to Him with pure offering. That is His tattva, His nature.
The Nath's Whisper
There is an old saying in the Nath sampradaya:
"Mere liye ek asu baha ke to dekh, Tere liye khushi ki nadiya na baha du to kehna. Ek bar mera ban ke to dekh, Sabko tera na bana du to kehna."
This is the eternal promise. The venom burns, but it is nectar in disguise. It strips you bare, so you can finally offer yourself without condition. And in that offering, Mahakal reveals His kingdom - the eternal, the fearless, the one above all. Salutations to Him, the Mahanayak, and to She who reigns in His heart - Maa Adya Mahakali, kinder than kindness itself, my prana, my force, my mother divine.
All love to the readers.
Thank you for tremendous support to this account and work I do! I offer this also to Mahakal and Maa.
