Playing the Game of Thoughts: Baba's Ultimate Tattva of Transcendence
When one enters the path of Baba Bhairav or Shiv, the first encounter is not with the outside world, but with the restless machinery of the mind. The mind, like a tireless smith, forges thought after thought - not out of the present moment, but out of past impressions, past lives, hidden wounds, upbringing, traumas, desires, and unfulfilled cravings. It weaves them into stories, and those stories become the cage of our perception. In truth, much of what we suffer is not life itself - it is the illusion projected by the mind.
Aparichhedya - The One Who Shatters Illusion
This is why Bhairav is called Aparichhedya - the One who cannot be measured, who shatters illusion. In sadhana, slowly, you stop drowning in the river of thoughts.
At first, you are caught by every wave, but with practice, you begin to stand on the shore and watch the river flow. You realize that thoughts are not your essence - they are passing shadows, smoke rising from the fire of memory.
The Danger of External Forces
Yet the danger lies here - the mind does not always generate these thoughts alone. On the spiritual path, when tapas (austerity) increases, negative forces, subtle entities, and energies also try to cast their shadows into your consciousness. They attempt to drag you into the void of despair, a bottomless pit where fear and doubt multiply. This is the maya-jal of the mind, more dangerous than any outer enemy, because it disguises itself as you.
The Grace of Mahakal and Maa Adya
And here, the grace of Mahakal Bhairav and Maa Adya is everything. Bhairav does not silence your mind by force - he gives you the sword of awareness to cut through it.
He does not remove your thoughts - he makes you transparent to them. They still arise, but you see through them, and their poison no longer touches you. This is the only true immunity, the real defense system of the soul - not the absence of darkness, but the clarity to see it as unreal.
The Soul's Immune System
The body has its immune system against disease. But the soul? Its immune system is this awareness born of sadhana, this inner sight granted by Bhairav. Without it, you are vulnerable to every thought, every fear. With it, you stand untouchable, smiling even amidst storms - for you know the world of thoughts is only smoke, while the truth of Bhairav and Maa is eternal, infinite, and all-pervading.
