True power comes with great responsibility. It burns away your scars, because the fulfillment of uplifting another is so profound that your own troubles fade into insignificance.

Living Beyond the Dimension of Ordinary Life: The Ultimate Greatness of Baba

There is a story I once heard about a man from Ujjain, a learned scholar of the Shakta and Shaiva sampradayas. His child fell gravely ill, and through the depth of his tantra sadhana, he was able to restore the child's health. From that day, he began to sense that his practice had awakened certain powers within him.

The Nath's Teaching

One day, on the sacred banks of the Kshipra River, he encountered a Nath. Overcome with reverence, he tried to bow and touch the Nath's feet, but he could not move - not even raise his eyes. He remained frozen in that posture until the Nath spoke:

"You have power within you. Use it now."

The man tried, but could not recall how. Then the Nath gave him the greatest lesson of life:

"Use your gift for the highest cause. Uplift those who are unable to bear their pain, their illness, their tragedies. Let your power become my own svarupa. Use it to become Me - so that one day, worship will dissolve, for there will be no difference between you and Me. Act in alignment with nature's will - not as the doer, but as the vessel through which nature works. Then see where life takes you. How you become a tree whose shade shelters thousands in need, worthy of holding such power."

The Gift of Responsibility

True power comes with great responsibility. It burns away your scars, because the fulfillment of uplifting another is so profound that your own troubles fade into insignificance.

And in that selfless service, you attain the greatest achievement - the inner mastery that heals not only others, but yourself. Life then gives you what truly belongs to you, what will love you and stand by you.

The Path of Nishkama Karma

This is what Nath wished to teach: when you become nishkama - free from selfish motive - in your work, worship, love, service, protection, and care, the "you" within begins to dissolve. He becomes the one steering your vessel.

This dharma cannot be taught in books. It may be read or heard, but its tattva - its living essence - can only be experienced through His blessing. That is the inner vision: to see life and the vast mystery of the universe through this lens, and to walk this path until you become the Deva Himself.

The Ultimate Power

That is the ultimate, majestic power that Baba holds: A true Mahanayaka. Salutations to Him. And to our beloved Maa Mahamaya, Jagadamba, Adyashakti Kalika! Bowing down at Their feet.
