The Highest Offering to Mahanyak Baba: Yourself
Have you heard the story of a young boy who used to visit the temple? He came from a poor background, with nothing material to offer. One day, in desperation, he wiped the sweat off his own forehead and offered it to Baba - just so the trees would bear fruit for him. And Nath appeared instantly. And from that moment, never left his side.
Everything is His Leela
That same Baba exists in everything - your own mind and body included. In fact, this entire creation is his leela: DNA, viruses, water, birds, lions, trees, flowers, sweets, mountains, waterfalls, wind, sunshine, waves, moon, sun, galaxies, black holes, dimensions, bhoots, pretas, entities, saints, gurus, siddhas, mahatmas, tapasvis, jnanis. All of it is born of Him.
So what you call "you" is nothing but Him in expression.
The Sacred and the Greater
Yes, when we do sadhana and puja, we offer flowers, gold, dhoop, milk - all in accordance with our shastras. And that is sacred, and absolutely needed. But there is a greater offering. The highest of all:
The offering of your sense of self - the 'I' who claims to be the doer.
That inner feeling of karta bhava - "I am the one doing the puja," or "I am the one seeking" - if that itself is offered at His feet, then who remains? When there is no 'you' left inside you, only He shines through.
A Deeper Question
Throughout history, great bhaktas even offered their own heads at the feet of Nath - including Ravana himself. They gained immense knowledge, powers, siddhis. But did they find liberation? Did they attain soul-deep satisfaction? Did they absorb the prana tattva of Nath? And most importantly -
Did they ever truly meet Maa?
It doesn't seem so.
Pure Karma
So try this: in your daily karma - not just in rituals, but in working, loving, caring, crying, being angry - see Him acting through you. Let every karma become pure karma, and you, simply the vessel.
Even this wisdom is just a faint fragrance of the vast kingdom our Para Bhairav Mahakal holds within. Salutations to the Master of all dimensions, the Timeless One - Mahakal! And to the One who transcends even Him, our Maa!
